As a follower of Christ, I view storytelling as both a professional responsibility and a calling. As a Christian, I take my work incredibly seriously. God has called me to tell stories that highlight the work of His people across the globe. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve prayed over a rough cut, discerning how to best tell stories with integrity and skill. I am currently a member of Williamsburg Mennonite Church in Williamsburg, Virginia, and serve in the children’s ministry with my wife. Together we strive to faithfully raise our three sons to know and love the Lord. Through regular family worship, personal prayer, and daily life, we hope to show our kids the joy of serving our God. Not only am I on fire about my own kids coming to accept Jesus as their Savior, but I also want that for every child around the world. I strive to embody the peace of Christ in my spiritual walk and am passionate about seeing everyone on earth safe from violence and experiencing the peace of Christ in their own lives.

For this reason, I am drawn to IJM’s mission. I see the work of protecting people from violence not only as a humanitarian effort but also as an expression of Christian faith in action. The opportunity to contribute my skills in filmmaking and storytelling to that mission would be both professionally meaningful and spiritually significant. Thank you for your consideration.
